How far is the coast from the holiday cottage?
Seaton is the nearest sandy beach, which is about 5 to 6 miles away. Typically, it takes 10 minutes by car, and it is a straight run from the holiday cottage.
Do we supply a hairdryer?
Yes, we supply everything you would find within your own home. For example, we supply an iron and board, hair dryer, stair gate, high chair, board games, DVD library, and all linen to name a few. It is a true home away from home.
Is there parking at the cottage?
Yes, we have a private drive attached to the property which is exclusive to you. The drive will fit 2-3 vehicles, dependent on size. We have had 2 long wheelbase sprinter vans on the drive in the past, as well as a small car.
Is the cottage garden enclosed?
Yes, the garden is fully enclosed and again is exclusive to you. It is South facing, so you’ll get the sun from dusk till dawn.
Do you have any offers/discount codes?
We tend to post all our offers on our Facebook page. Should you feel you’re missing out, please contact us for the best available price, and to see if we have any offers.
Can I charge our electric vehicle?
Yes, we allow electric vehicle charging, but we ask you to cover the cost of electricity. However, as we are on commercial rates, it is normally cheaper at the local supermarket using 50 to 100KwH rapid chargers. In April 2024, you’ll be able to pay for this directly via an App (subject to part availability).
Do we accept pets?
Yes, we allow a maximum of two pets, but you do need to run it past us first. We do not accept cats, birds, reptiles, or rodents. We also charge a fee per pet, to cover the additional cleaning requirements. By bringing a pet, you are agreeing to our pet policy. Please ask for a copy of this policy, but in summary; a) a pet must not be left unattended in the property, b) pets are not allowed on any furniture including beds, c) any excrement from a pet must be bagged and suitably disposed of.
Do we allow smoking?
Unfortunately, the property is a none smoking property throughout. Do feel free to smoke outside and dispose of the cigarette correctly, ensuring it is extinguished.
How many people can stay over?
The property is limited to a maximum of 5 persons and 1 infant. Unfortunately, my insurance will be void if there are more. The property has 2 double rooms and a single room.
Can I amend the check-in and check-out times?
If booking direct, I can easily amend the arrival/departure times because the contract is between you and I. However, it is subject to other bookings, and we must confirm in writing first. It can be more difficult if you have booked through an agent, this is because we are both tied to the terms and conditions set by the agent. Ultimately, I have to have a contract in place at all times for liability insurance coverage.
Check-in times are set to 15:00hrs, and you can arrive at your leisure (anytime you wish). Departure times are set to 10:00hrs.
What type of property is White Hart Cottage?
White Hart Cottage is a 3-bed detached property, which sleeps 5. It has its own private driveway and garden.
Do we allow parties and events?
The property is not suitable to hold events or parties, therefore they are strictly prohibited. If an event is discovered, your booking will be terminated without warning, with no financial reimbursement. We will also bill additionally to put the property good.
Do you offer a discount for a long stay?
You may stop as long as you wish, but the property can only be let as a holiday let, therefore you should not be getting up and going to work. We do offer discounts for those wishing to explore Cornwall over a month or 2. To discuss pricing, please feel free to contact us; we’ll be more than happy to assist.
